Vi Business, the enterprise division of Vodafone India, recently conducted a study to assess the digital preparedness of MSMEs, focusing particularly on those in the logistics sector. The study revealed that over 66% of MSMEs have attained a digital maturity level exceeding 50%.
Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone India, conducted a study aimed at evaluating the digital readiness of MSMEs, with a specific emphasis on the logistics sector. The study indicated that more than 66% of MSMEs have achieved a digital maturity level of 50% or higher. The logistics industry is actively adopting digital solutions to optimize and automate their operations, effectively manage fleets, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
The survey involved nearly 100,000 MSME respondents across a wide range of 16 industries. These industries include media & entertainment, manufacturing, IT & ITes, education, logistics, professional services, banking, construction, mining, and more.
Approximately 94% of the respondents offered postpaid mobility connections to their employees. Additionally, 52% of the participants were already utilizing M2M (machine-to-machine solutions), while 30% were in the process of planning their future implementation of such solutions.
“The logistics sector exhibited an overall digital maturity rate of 60%, underscoring the sector’s commitment to leveraging digital technologies for process optimization, fleet management, and overall cost reduction.” the survey stated.
