AutoNxt Automation, the pioneering company behind India’s first electric tractor, has achieved a significant milestone with the official launch of its product, targeting the sugar industry. The inaugural sale was made to Jaywant Sugar Mills at the Yashwantrao Mohite Krishna Sugar Factory in Western Maharashtra.
The launch event witnessed the presence of the factory’s directors, staff members, and a large group of local farmers, marking the tractor’s entry as not only a technological advancement but also a source of pride for the community. Dr. Bhosale emphasized that AutoNxt’s electric tractor would bring about a significant shift from traditional diesel-powered machinery to electric solutions, crucial for driving sustainability in both agriculture and industrial sectors.
“AutoNxt’s electric tractor will bring about a revolution in agriculture and various industrial sectors,” Dr. Bhosale said. He also highlighted the importance of such innovations in line with India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, helping to propel the country towards sustainable development. With growing concerns over fuel shortages, the introduction of an electric tractor is seen as a major step forward in ensuring a greener and more energy-efficient future.
The AutoNxt 45 HP electric tractor is equipped with impressive features, capable of handling tasks such as reversible ploughing and rotary cultivation, while transporting over 15 tons of goods. With a full charge, the tractor can cover approximately 50 km, and its battery can be recharged within three hours using both three-phase and single-phase electricity. This not only leads to a 60-70% reduction in fuel costs but also offers farmers a more sustainable alternative with a significantly lower carbon footprint.
As India continues its push towards innovation and sustainability, the introduction of electric tractors stands as a beacon of progress in the agriculture sector, making waves in local communities and beyond.
