Schneider Electric has committed ₹3,200 crore in investments and continues expanding its manufacturing facilities. Through its Lauritz Knudsen brand, it seeks to develop localized solutions for various sectors, including agriculture and infrastructure. Simultaneously, its Luminous Power Technologies division focuses on catering to the residential market.
Schneider Electric is strengthening its presence in India with a ₹3,200-crore investment, setting up new manufacturing plants in Kolkata and Hyderabad while expanding existing facilities.
Manish Pant, Executive Vice President (International Operations), emphasized India’s vast growth potential and Schneider Electric’s commitment to ongoing investments. He identified India, the US, and West Asia as key growth markets for the company.
He said, “We have already announced about Rs 3,200 crores of investment and we continue to expand our factories. In the recent past, we have inaugurated factories in Bangalore, we have made a new factory in Hyderabad, and we have announced the expansion of our vacuum factories, where we make medium voltage circuit breakers in Kolkata.”
With its Lauritz Knudsen brand, Schneider Electric aims to develop localized solutions across sectors such as agriculture and infrastructure. Meanwhile, Luminous Power Technologies focuses on serving the residential market.
Pant highlighted that India, the US, and West Asia will remain the company’s primary growth drivers through 2027, supported by rising demand for energy solutions, infrastructure expansion, and digital transformation. The company is committed to sustained investments in these regions to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
“We can bring more digitization, and that is our focus because it significantly helps customers optimize power usage within their homes,” Pant said.
Financially, Schneider Electric maintains strong global margins, with an EBITDA margin of 18.6%. The company currently, Schneider Electric operates 31 manufacturing units in India.
