The government is expected to extend the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme, which is scheduled to end on September 30.
The government is expected to extend the duty refund scheme RoDTEP for exporters, an official said on Tuesday. The ministry is currently in discussions with the finance ministry regarding the extension. Rediff
Launched in 2021, the RoDTEP scheme provides exporters with a refund of taxes, duties and levies incurred during the manufacturing and distribution of goods that are not reimbursed through any other mechanism at the Centre, state or local level. Rediff
Refund rates under the scheme range from 0.3 per cent to 3.9 per cent. The budget allocation for RoDTEP stood at Rs 18,232 crore in 2025-26, while the allocation for the current fiscal year was Rs 10,000 crore. Rediff
