Digital lending platform mPokket is targeting annual loan disbursals of more than Rs 25,000 crore and a loan book exceeding Rs 20,000 crore within the next three years.
Mumbai, Sep 29 — mPokket plans to expand its lending operations across underserved markets, driven by demand for micro-credit, according to founder and CEO Gaurav Jalan. The company also expects to cross USD 5.5 billion, or more than Rs 52,000 crore, in lifetime loan disbursals during the current financial year (FY26).
The digital lender primarily serves young working professionals, self-employed individuals and college students in tier-2 and tier-3 towns. It provides short-term personal and micro-loans through its mobile platform while focusing on credit expansion and risk parameters.
mPokket said it has onboarded more than 6.5 million New-to-Credit (NTC) customers into the formal financial ecosystem. NTC customer acquisition has recorded sustained year-on-year growth of 20% over the past three years, according to the company.
The company has also increased the loan ticket size available to small business owners to up to Rs 2 lakh this year. mPokket said the move has diversified its customer base while supporting its expansion in the New-to-Credit segment.
