Automation to displace 107 million women from jobs

According to the findings of a recent McKinsey report, nearly one-quarter of all women employed across the globe could be replaced by automation. Correspondingly, 163 million men (21%), could face the same scenario, as per the “The future of women at work: Transitions in the age of automation” report. About 11 million (8%) women could face occupational transition by 2030. The study revolves around those economies that collectively contribute about 60% of the world’s GDP and have more than 50% world population. These encompass six mature economies (Canada, France, Germany, Japan, UK, and US) and four emerging economies (China, India, Mexico, and South Africa) of the world. This development is likely to affect those working in clerical positions & the service sector.
