In a significant recognition of its global appeal, Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur has secured a prestigious position among the top five cities in the world in the 2025 edition of the “World’s Best Awards” by internationally renowned travel magazine Travel + Leisure. Voted by global tourists, Jaipur, fondly known as the Pink City, earned an impressive score of 91.33, ranking 5th globally—surpassing several iconic cities, including Italy’s Florence, which placed 11th with a score of 90.08.

This milestone reflects Jaipur’s growing stature as a world-class travel destination. Travel + Leisure praised the city for its opulent palace hotels, vibrant cultural heritage, and world-class shopping experiences. The city’s rich tapestry of Mughal-Rajput architecture, colorful bazaars, and royal hospitality continues to captivate international tourists. The magazine described Jaipur as a “must-see destination,” noting how it seamlessly blends history, luxury, and modern vibrancy.

At the top of the list was San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, earning the top score for its cultural atmosphere, affordability, and artistic vibrancy. Attractions such as central museums, botanical gardens, boutique shopping, and an active cultural calendar—including the celebrated San Miguel Writers’ Conference & Literary Festival—made it the favorite among survey respondents.

Coming in second was Chiang Mai, Thailand’s cultural capital, with a score of 91.94. Known for its tranquil temples, bustling markets, rich cuisine, and stunning proximity to nature, Chiang Mai continues to charm travelers with its laid-back sophistication and outstanding luxury accommodations.
