Video streaming company Netflix is planning to invest Rs 3,000 crore to develop and export India-focused content on its platform, according to CEO Reed Hastings. He said that the company is planning to expand its India-focussed content, and the results will be more visible in the coming months. The US$ 500 million Indian video-streaming market is expected to grow to 10 times that size by 2023, according to a Boston Consulting Group report. There’s plenty of room for streamers to grow in India despite heightened competition from local streamers as well as US giants like Amazon and Disney.
