London-based tech company Nothing is strengthening its India footprint by setting up CMF’s global headquarters in the country and announcing its first flagship store in 2025. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis said the move reflects a vision of “building from India for the world,” as the firm manufactures and exports its upcoming Phone (3) from India.
London-based consumer tech company Nothing is deepening its India presence, with co-founder Akis Evangelidis announcing plans to open the company’s first flagship store in the country later in 2025. Alongside, its sub-brand CMF by Nothing is setting up its global headquarters in India, underscoring the brand’s long-term commitment to the market.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Evangelidis revealed that the company’s upcoming smartphone, Phone (3), is already being manufactured in India and has also begun exports. He explained that the company’s vision goes beyond assembling products in India, with a focus on developing innovations here and scaling them globally. He added that CMF’s global headquarters will be based in India, supported by local leadership talent, to anchor operations in a market showing strong momentum.
He also announced on X that Nothing’s first flagship store in India will open later this year, describing it as the first step in a series of upcoming initiatives.
The announcement coincided with Evangelidis’s participation at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum 2025, where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reflecting on the interaction, he said the Prime Minister’s vision and initiatives have played a key role in positioning India as a global technology hub, adding that the future of the tech industry is increasingly being shaped in the country.
Launched in 2023, CMF by Nothing focuses on design-led, affordable technology products. As part of its ambition to grow from India into a global brand, CMF recently shifted its global marketing function to the country.
By investing in local manufacturing, leadership, and retail expansion, Nothing aims to establish India not only as a core market but also as a hub for global innovation.
