Agricultural enterprise Samunnati has successfully facilitated the farm gate procurement and direct export of 275 metric tons of Thompson seedless grapes to the Netherlands for the 2023 grape season. To ensure a seamless value chain, Samunnati has diligently overseen every aspect of the process, from farm gate procurement to end-to-end primary processing, cold storage, packaging, and certification, all the way up to the export stage.

The export partner, Mr. Pieter Kok, Managing Director of Vrugtebome International B.V., expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating, “We had a successful season with grapes from India this year, and we are pleased to collaborate with Samunnati. The program involving 275 tons of grapes has proven to be highly efficient. The cooperation has been exemplary, with meticulous handling of every aspect and prompt provision of information. We look forward to continuing our fruitful collaboration next year!”

Operations of this nature require meticulous execution. Samunnati ensured that all grape suppliers were registered with the GI certification authority, emphasizing its commitment to upholding quality standards.

From the program’s inception in October 2022 to the receipt of the final remittance in July 2023, the execution excellence culminated in the successful shipment of 20 containers of grapes. This achievement has not only benefited over three dozen local farmers, but it has also ensured that they receive better value for their produce.
