Samsung TV Plus has expanded its India offering to 200 streaming TV channels, strengthening its subscription-free entertainment portfolio.
The platform has partnered with NH Studioz to launch Aashirwad TV and Thalaivar Hits, focusing on Hindi mythological entertainment and iconic Tamil cinema.

Gurugram, August 24, 2026: Samsung TV Plus India has expanded its content portfolio to 200 streaming TV channels as the platform looks to offer more entertainment choices across genres to viewers in the country.
As part of the expansion, Samsung TV Plus has partnered with NH Studioz to introduce two new channels — Aashirwad TV and Thalaivar Hits. The channels will add Hindi mythological programming and popular Tamil cinema to the platform’s growing content catalogue.
Aashirwad TV will feature a curated selection of Hindi entertainment, with mythological shows such as Ramayana, Shree Ganesha and Om Namah Shivaay. The channel is aimed at viewers looking for familiar mythological stories and traditional entertainment.
Thalaivar Hits, meanwhile, will focus on Tamil cinema and showcase movies featuring stars including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Its line-up will include cult classics and popular films such as Kai Kodukkum and Thambikku Entha Ooru.
Samsung TV Plus is a subscription-free streaming service that comes pre-installed on Samsung Smart TVs. The company said the service has more than 100 million monthly active users globally.
In India, Samsung TV Plus has been expanding its offering across movies, entertainment, news, sports and regional content. Its channel portfolio has grown from more than 50 channels to 200 channels.
“Our focus has always been on offering viewers more of the content they love,” said Kunal Mehta, General Manager and Head of Business Development, Samsung TV Plus India.
Mehta said reaching 200 channels reflects the platform’s efforts to provide diverse entertainment choices across genres. He added that Aashirwad TV and Thalaivar Hits will strengthen the portfolio with stories and films that appeal to audiences across generations.
Samsung TV Plus India has also been recognised as the CTV Platform of the Year at the BCS Ratna Awards, highlighting its expanding presence in India’s connected television ecosystem.
