August domestic volumes hit record

New Delhi, September 1, 2026: Hyundai Motor India Ltd reported an 8.8 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales in August, supported by strong domestic demand.
The company recorded total sales of 65,796 units during the month.
Domestic sales rose 23.6 per cent year-on-year to 54,396 units.
Hyundai said the figure represented its highest-ever domestic sales for any August month.
Exports during the month stood at 11,400 units.
The company said export volumes were affected by logistical constraints linked to the ongoing geopolitical situation in West Asia and broader regional conditions.
Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tarun Garg said the company continued to maintain strong growth momentum during FY2027.
Domestic sales during the April-August period increased 12.6 per cent year-on-year.
The company said demand for its product portfolio supported the strong August domestic performance.
Hyundai remains optimistic about export demand in the coming months as geopolitical and logistical conditions improve.
