JioSaavn has rolled out a new feature called Music Profile, giving users a more personalized way to discover, track and share their music journey. The latest addition aims to transform music streaming from a simple listening experience into a social and interactive platform where users can express their musical identity.
The Music Profile feature creates a unique Music Persona for every user based on their listening habits. Depending on their preferences, users can earn personality badges such as Punjabi Murid, Bollywood Bhakt, Hip Hop Hustler, and Telugu Abhimani, offering a fun and engaging way to reflect their musical tastes.
Beyond personality badges, the feature also tracks listening milestones based on the number of songs played, new artists discovered and playlists created. Users will receive detailed insights into their favourite genres, moods, most-played songs and top artists. JioSaavn will also provide weekly and monthly listening summaries, allowing users to monitor how their music preferences evolve over time.
The new update introduces several social features as well. Users can create a unique public handle and build a personalized music profile where they can share favourite playlists, artists and listening preferences with friends and fellow music lovers. They can also update their status and highlight their favourite artists directly on their profiles.
Another key addition is easier access to new releases from favourite artists. Instead of manually searching for new music, users will find the latest releases from artists they follow directly within their personal library, making music discovery quicker and more convenient.
According to a JioSaavn spokesperson, music has become one of the most powerful ways for people to express themselves and connect with others. The company said the new Music Profile feature is designed to help listeners better understand their changing music preferences while making it easier to discover songs that match their mood and interests.
The launch reflects the growing trend among streaming platforms to combine personalization with social engagement. By offering customized listening insights and public profiles, JioSaavn hopes to create a richer and more expressive music streaming experience for its users.
The Music Profile feature is now available across Android, iOS and web platforms. Android users can access it through the Library section, while iOS users can find it under the Profile section of the app.
