Dubai/Abu Dhabi, June 30: The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai have announced that regular passport, visa and other consular appointments will remain suspended until July 1, 2026, as the Indian mission transitions to a new service delivery system across the UAE.
During this period, only emergency consular services will continue to be available through the existing emergency helplines, WhatsApp and email support channels.
From July 2, 2026, regular services are scheduled to resume under a new service provider, Alhind Tours and Travels LLC, which will replace BLS International and SGIVS Global (IVS) for handling Indian consular services throughout the UAE.
The new Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) system is designed to provide multiple services through a single platform, including passport issuance and renewal, visa services, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards, Police Clearance Certificates (PCC), surrender certificates, Global Entry Program verification, document attestation and other consular services.
As part of the rollout, new service centres will be established across all seven Emirates—Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah—as well as Khor Fakkan and Kalba. The exact addresses of these centres will be announced separately.
The Indian mission has advised all Indian nationals in the UAE to follow updates only through official embassy and consulate channels and avoid relying on unverified information circulating online.
