The fifth-generation Ducati Monster arrives with a new 890cc V2 engine, lighter chassis and upgraded electronics.
The motorcycle offers four riding modes and is available in Monster and Monster+ variants.

Luxury motorcycle maker Ducati has launched the all-new 2026 Monster in India, introducing the fifth generation of its popular naked sports motorcycle. Prices for the new Ducati Monster start at ₹13.99 lakh, ex-showroom, with both Monster and Monster+ variants available.
One of the biggest changes is the new 890cc V2 engine with Intake Variable Timing (IVT). The engine produces 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and peak torque of 91.1 Nm at 7,250 rpm. According to Ducati, the new engine is 5.9 kg lighter than the previous Testastretta Evoluzione unit.
Ducati says the engine delivers more than 80% of its maximum torque between 4,000 rpm and 10,000 rpm. The valve-clearance inspection interval has also been extended to 45,000 km.
The 2026 Monster has undergone a weight reduction as well. At 175 kg without fuel, its wet weight is 4 kg lower than its predecessor. It uses a monocoque frame in which the V2 engine works as a stressed structural component.
For suspension, Ducati has equipped the motorcycle with a 43 mm Showa upside-down fork and a Showa monoshock. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm front discs with Brembo M4.32 radial calipers, while Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres are offered.
The electronics package includes a six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. Riders can choose between Sport, Road, Urban and Wet riding modes. A 5-inch full-TFT display is also included.
The standard Monster costs ₹13.99 lakh in Ducati Red and ₹14.23 lakh in Iceberg White or Sport Livery. Monster+ prices range from ₹14.34 lakh to ₹14.45 lakh. The Monster+ additionally gets a headlight cowl and passenger seat cover.
Ducati has also introduced Ducati Protect maintenance packages. The new Monster is available in India from August 10, 2026, through Ducati’s dealership network in major cities.
