Mastercard has launched World Select, a premium consumer card programme aimed at India’s growing higher-spending segment, with benefits spanning travel, dining, wellness, entertainment and lifestyle.
The programme was introduced at Global Fintech Fest 2026 alongside RBL Bank, City Union Bank and Jammu & Kashmir Bank. Mastercard said the programme will allow issuing partners to offer differentiated benefits to their customers while strengthening acquisition, engagement and loyalty.
According to insights from the Mastercard Economics Institute, India is expected to add more than 17 million high-income households by 2030. Mastercard said this segment’s growth is driving demand for experiences, convenience, and lifestyle-focused benefits.
World Select brings together local partnerships with Mastercard’s global premium offerings. Its partner ecosystem includes AJIO Luxe, Tattva Spa, ITC Hotels, Radisson Hotels and Novotel Hotels, along with travel, dining, entertainment and digital lifestyle brands.
Cardholders will have access to benefits including complimentary stays at select ITC Hotels properties, up to INR 4,000 off a first visa application through Atlys, travel insurance with an option to cancel for any reason twice a year, and dining offers of up to 50 per cent at more than 1,000 EazyDiner partner restaurants.
The programme also includes Mastercard’s Culinary Club, India Golf Program, hotel loyalty partnerships and the Priceless platform.
World Select cardholders will additionally receive access to The Mastercard Collection, which includes premium travel, dining and entertainment experiences. Benefits include priority access to select restaurants, entertainment privileges, airport security Fast Track lanes and access to more than 1,350 airport lounges across nearly 150 destinations worldwide.
Gautam Aggarwal, President, India & South Asia, Mastercard, said the programme is designed for consumers who prioritise convenience and experiences and seek value both in India and while travelling internationally.
Mastercard said it will expand World Select through additional issuing partners and new benefits in the coming months.
