It has also lifted the cap on visa numbers and would allow graduates to apply for jobs irrespective of their skills or the subject they studied. At present, graduates with bachelors or master’s degrees are allowed to seek job opportunities for only four months. The new policy marks the return of an earlier one which was terminated by the coalition government in 2012.
