6.2% yoy dip in domestic pv sales: SIAM

According to the latest findings of the automobile industry body Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), there has been a 6.2% year on year drop in the sales of domestic passenger vehicles. While 2,80,091 units were sold in January’19; 2,62,714 units were sold in January’20. There was also an 8.1% yoy dip in car sales from 1,79,324 units in Jan’19 to 1,64,793 units this Jan. The organization also said that the sales of commercial vehicles were down 14.04% to 75,289 units in January. Further, motorcycle sales last month declined by 15.17% to 8,71,886 units from 10,27,766 units last year. Finally, sales of commercial vehicles were down 14.04% to 75,289 units in January.
