Corbion, a global leader in sustainable ingredient solutions with expertise in fermentation and preservation technology, has announced its acquisition of the bread improver business from Delhi-based Novotech Food Ingredients. This move is poised to enhance Corbion’s position as a global provider of functional solutions, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.
Novotech, a sole proprietorship firm, specializes in the manufacturing, exporting, and supplying of premium products, including bakery ingredients, bread ingredients, ice cream stabilizers, starch ketchup, flavor fillings etc. By integrating this business into its portfolio, Corbion aims to expand its footprint in the Indian market and deliver a broader range of functional solutions tailored to diverse customer needs. This strategic acquisition is set to strengthen Corbion’s market position and its ability to provide exceptional value and variety to its customers in India.
Andy Muller, president of Corbion’s functional ingredients and solutions division, highlighted the significance of this acquisition: “This acquisition marks a significant strategic milestone for Corbion. By enlarging our footprint, augmenting our portfolio with products tailored to local market needs, and enhancing our collaboration with India-based global customers, we’re showing our commitment to sustained growth in India and broadening our reach into Asia. Leveraging local manufacturing strengths will help reinforce our position as a global solutions provider that is regionally relevant.”
The addition of Novotech’s bread improver business, known for its high-quality and innovative solutions, complements Corbion’s existing offerings. This expansion will further diversify Corbion’s product range, enabling the company to meet the needs of its global customer base with a wider array of solutions.
Muller concluded, “We want our customers to make the most of the advantages that come with a leading global supplier. Our worldwide network offers them the flexibility and confidence of consistent sourcing. Yet, we also know that local expertise adds significant value. This acquisition strengthens Corbion’s capacity to deliver both a global approach and regional insights, ultimately providing our customers with greater value.”
