Vice President of India Mr Venkaiah Naidu asked Vietnamese President Mr Nguyễn Xuân Phúc to facilitate the entry of Indian pharma players in Vietnam. He assured Mr Phúc that Indian players have the capability to provide medicines and high tech systems at affordable prices. Mr Naidu also offered help to Vietnam in satellite construction for both civilian and non-civilian purposes as well as training and capacity building for Vietnamese defence forces.
Both sides also discussed ways to enhance bilateral trade to US$ 15 billion by 2020 from US$ 14 billion currently, while highlighting the need to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
