The Uttar Pradesh government has approved development plans to expand New Noida and the aviation hub around Noida International Airport over the next 15 years. These plans involve land acquisition, the development of residential, industrial, and green spaces, and the establishment of aviation-related industries, with significant population growth expected in the region.
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved two major development plans aimed at transforming the Noida and Yamuna Expressway regions over the next 15 years, boosting economic growth and infrastructure.
The Noida Master Plan 2041 focuses on expanding the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (New Noida) across 80 villages in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts. The development will take place in four phases, starting with 3,165 hectares by 2027 and increasing to over 8,230 hectares by 2041. Designed to accommodate 6 lakh residents, 40% of the land will be allocated for industrial use, 13% for residential areas, and 18% for green and recreational spaces, alongside commercial and institutional zones.
Similarly, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority’s (YEIDA) master plan focuses on expanding development across 55 villages in Bulandshahr, bringing the total area under its jurisdiction to 226 villages. The development area will increase from 583 to 769 square kilometers, with an estimated population of 37 lakh by 2041. A key element is the expansion of the aviation hub around Noida International Airport in Jewar, growing its land area and establishing aviation-related industries. The plan introduces new mixed-use zones for hospitality and industrial development, particularly around the airport.
To prevent unauthorized constructions near the airport, land will be acquired for industrial sectors 8A, 8B, 8C, 8D, and 8E, along with multi-use sectors 7, 8, and 31B. Additionally, land has already been allocated for hospitality sectors 23G, 23I, and 23E.
Additionally, a logistics hub near Chola station, an Olympic Park, and new sectors for multiple land-use industries will be developed, including Korean and Japanese cities. These projects aim to drive industrial, residential, and commercial growth, positioning Noida and the Yamuna Expressway regions as significantly contributors to Uttar Pradesh’s overall economic progress.
