US delays tariffs on some Chinese goods

The US government has decided to postpone the imposition of tariffs on Chinese-made cellphones, laptop computers, shoes, apparel and other items till December 15. It will also remove some Chinese imports from its target list based “on health, safety, national security and other factors”. From Sept. 1, US will impose 10% tariffs on Chinese imported goods worth about US$ 300 billion. Thus, there appear to be no signs of this trade war coming to an end anytime soon.
