During his visit to the United Kingdom to attend the Global Investors Summit in London, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami engaged in a series of meetings with prominent international companies has signed investment MoUs worth a total of INR 3,000 crores with two significant firms.
One of the notable agreements was signed with Agar Technology, amounting to INR 2,000 crores. Agar Technology pledged to invest in the development of lithium battery plants within the state of Uttarakhand.
In another significant development, another MoU valued at INR 1,000 crores was formalized with Fira Barcelona, a renowned European organization specializing in convention centre management and the organization of business fairs.
Furthermore, two additional MoUs were inked with EaseMyTrip. Under these agreements, EaseMyTrip agreed to establish a state-supported Online Travel Aggregator (OTA) and actively promote Uttarakhand as a global tourism destination. This collaborative effort is anticipated to create numerous employment opportunities for the state’s residents.
On September 27, the CM stated that MoUs worth INR 9,000 crores had been signed. “We have made more than 27 new policies.” He added, “So far, MoUs worth INR 9,000 crores have been signed”.
