August volumes jump 49 per cent

New Delhi, September 1, 2026: Tata Motors Ltd reported a 49 per cent year-on-year increase in total commercial vehicle sales in August, driven by growth in both domestic and international markets.
The company sold 44,411 commercial vehicles during the month, compared with 29,863 units in August last year.
Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose 33 per cent to 36,619 units, compared with 27,481 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
The company’s international business recorded stronger growth, with volumes reaching 7,792 units in August against 2,382 units a year earlier.
This represented a 227 per cent year-on-year increase in international commercial vehicle volumes.
The August performance reflects significant growth across Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle operations, with overseas business contributing substantially to the overall increase in volumes.
