New Delhi, August 13: Swiggy’s affordability-focused 99 Store has recorded strong growth since its launch a year ago, with one in every seven food orders on the platform now coming through the offering.
The 99 Store was launched as a dedicated section within Swiggy’s Food app, offering consumers more affordable meal options. The initiative has expanded rapidly and is now available across more than 500 cities.
The offering has also built an extensive network of more than 1.8 lakh restaurant partners, giving customers access to a broad selection of affordable meals.
According to Swiggy, monthly orders through 99 Store have grown 2.4 times over the past year, highlighting increasing demand for value-focused food delivery.
The offering covers several food categories. Popular choices include bowls and thalis, South Indian breakfast, burgers and American food, pizzas, beverages, chaats and other snacks.
Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace, said the response to the offering over the past year has been strong and that the company plans to expand its partner network further.
Swiggy said it will continue increasing the range of food choices available to customers using the affordability-led platform.
The growth of 99 Store comes as food delivery platforms increasingly focus on price-conscious consumers and seek to increase order frequency beyond premium and higher-value meals.
The rapid expansion across cities and the rising contribution of 99 Store to overall food orders indicate that affordability is becoming an increasingly important factor in India’s online food delivery market.
