Ahmedabad, September 1, 2026: The Leela Gandhinagar has completed five years of operations, marking a milestone in its journey as one of Gujarat’s prominent luxury hospitality destinations.
Over the past five years, the hotel has positioned itself as a destination for business leaders, international delegates, cultural events, celebrations and luxury travellers, combining Indian heritage with contemporary hospitality and personalised service.
The hotel’s growth has taken place alongside Gandhinagar’s increasing importance as a centre for business, governance, culture and international engagement.
During its journey, The Leela Gandhinagar has been associated with several major national and international gatherings, including the G20, U20, BRICS, B20 India Inception Meeting and Vibrant Gujarat.
The property was also associated with the 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards in 2024.
The hotel has welcomed international cricket teams, including Australia, England and South Africa, during the ICC Cricket World Cup, further strengthening its position as a destination for international guests and major events.
The Leela Gandhinagar’s association with the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre has also contributed to the development of Gandhinagar as a destination for large conventions, exhibitions and international gatherings.
Managed by The Leela, the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre is spread across 34 acres and serves as an important venue for large-scale events.
Beyond major conferences and global gatherings, the hotel said its journey has also been shaped by destination weddings, family celebrations, business meetings and leisure stays.
The property has incorporated elements of Gujarat’s cultural heritage into its design and guest experience.
Its design draws inspiration from traditional and architectural elements associated with Gujarat, including the Adalaj Stepwell and the Tree of Life motif at the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque.
Traditional art forms and textiles such as Patola, Bandhej, Ajrakh, Batik and beadwork have also influenced elements of the hotel’s design.
The Leela Gandhinagar has additionally embraced a broader approach towards wellness through Aujasya by The Leela, which focuses on experiences centred around balance, rejuvenation and mindful living.
The hotel’s team said the five-year milestone represents not only the growth of the property but also the relationships developed with guests, associates, partners and the wider community.
As The Leela Gandhinagar enters its sixth year, the hotel plans to continue blending Gujarat’s heritage with innovation while creating new luxury experiences for domestic and international visitors.
“Five years is not just a milestone; it is a celebration of the people, partnerships, and moments that have shaped our journey,” said Team Leela Gandhinagar.
The hotel said it remains focused on showcasing the richness of Gujarat while continuing to set new benchmarks in luxury hospitality and welcoming guests from across India and around the world.
