Family Buys Rs 350 Crore Shares
New Delhi, September 4, 2026: Dr Azad Moopen and his family have increased their stake in Aster DM Quality Care Ltd to around 24.58 per cent through an additional share purchase worth approximately Rs 350 crore.
Union (Mauritius) Holdings Ltd, owned and promoted by the Moopen family, acquired an additional 0.57 per cent stake in the healthcare provider.
The entity purchased around 46.09 lakh equity shares from TPG-backed Centella Mauritius Holdings Ltd.
The transaction was completed on September 2 at a price of Rs 760 per share, according to the company’s regulatory filing.
Following the acquisition, the Moopen family’s total shareholding in Aster DM Quality Care has increased to around 24.58 per cent.
Dr Azad Moopen serves as Executive Chairman of Aster DM Quality Care.
The company was recently formed through the merger of Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care India Limited and now operates an integrated healthcare platform with 39 hospitals across 28 cities
