The Central Government has eased domestic LPG cylinder booking rules, providing relief to consumers, particularly those living in rural areas. Under the revised system, rural households will now be able to book a second LPG refill after 25 days, compared with the earlier mandatory waiting period of 45 days.
With the latest change, domestic LPG consumers in both urban and rural areas will follow the same 25-day interval for booking a refill. The decision is expected to benefit families that depend heavily on LPG for cooking and have limited access to alternative cooking fuels.
