Reliance Industries has increased its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expenditure to ₹2,248 crore in FY2025-26, marking a 4.3% rise compared to ₹2,156 crore spent in FY2024-25, according to the company’s latest Integrated Annual Report. With this, Reliance’s cumulative CSR spending since the COVID-19 pandemic has crossed ₹9,500 crore.

Through its philanthropic arm Reliance Foundation, the conglomerate said it has impacted more than 9.7 crore lives across India since inception through initiatives focused on rural transformation, healthcare, education, sports, environment, women empowerment and animal welfare.

The company highlighted that its flagship Reliance Foundation Scholarships programme, launched in 2020-21, currently supports around 5,100 students annually. An independent impact assessment by Athena Infonomics India found that every ₹1 invested in the scholarship programme generates ₹4.4 in social value through improved education outcomes, employability and long-term societal impact.

Reliance Foundation’s rural transformation programme continued to deliver measurable improvements in farmer incomes and agricultural productivity. The company said milk production among dairy farmers increased from 6.14 litres to 10.37 litres per day, while annual dairy income rose by 64.6% from ₹79,242 to ₹1.30 lakh. Adoption of artificial insemination reached 81%, while green fodder cultivation touched 98% among participating farmers. Overall annual household income reportedly increased by around 56%.

The report also highlighted the growing scale of Vantara, Reliance’s animal rescue and conservation initiative, which has cared for more than 1.5 lakh animals. Anant Ambani received the Global Humanitarian Award 2025 from the Global Humane Society for contributions toward wildlife conservation, becoming the youngest and first Asian recipient of the recognition.

In sports and culture, Reliance Foundation said its athlete development programmes continued to show strong progression metrics, while the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre strengthened its position as a major arts and cultural destination. Nita Ambani received the Global Peace Honour Award and the KISS Humanitarian Award 2025 for humanitarian contributions.

The foundation also expanded its disaster response operations during Cyclone Montha by providing early warning support to farming and fishing communities. The initiative received recognition from the Andhra Pradesh government for mitigation support efforts.

Under women empowerment initiatives, over 75% of women participants in Reliance Foundation’s digital literacy and financial inclusion programmes reported improved financial confidence, while nearly half reported stronger participation in household financial decisions.

Reliance Foundation also received multiple recognitions during FY2025-26, including the Indian CSR Award 2025 for Best Skill Development Initiative, the CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management 2025 and the FICCI India Sports Award for Best Corporate Promoting Sports – High Performance.
