New Delhi, May 29, 2026: Gold and silver prices witnessed a marginal decline in early trading on Friday amid fluctuations in the bullion market. According to the latest market data, the price of 24-carat gold fell by ₹10, bringing the rate of 10 grams to ₹1,56,050, while silver prices slipped ₹100 to trade at ₹2,74,900 per kilogram.
The price of 22-carat gold also declined by ₹10, with 10 grams now priced at ₹1,43,040. Among major Indian cities, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad recorded 24-carat gold prices at ₹1,56,050 per 10 grams, while Chennai remained the highest at ₹1,58,170. In the national capital Delhi, the same quantity of 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,56,200.
Market experts attribute the slight correction in bullion prices to changing global cues, profit booking by investors, and fluctuations in international precious metal markets. Gold and silver prices continue to remain sensitive to geopolitical tensions, US dollar movement, and central bank policy expectations.
