New Delhi, July 3, 2026: Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is preparing to launch its smallest electric vehicle, the VF 3, in India later this year as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the country’s growing EV market.
The VF 3 is an ultra-compact electric mini-SUV featuring a boxy design, high ground clearance, and a minimalist four-seat cabin. The vehicle has already attracted attention in international markets for its distinctive styling and city-friendly dimensions.
Compact Yet Practical
The VF 3 measures 3,114 mm in length, 1,679 mm in width, and 1,652 mm in height, making it one of the smallest electric SUVs expected to enter the Indian market.
Despite its compact footprint, the vehicle offers a wheelbase of 2,075 mm and a ground clearance of 191 mm, providing practicality for urban roads and everyday driving conditions.
Up To 210 KM Range
Powering the VF 3 is a rear-mounted electric motor producing 43 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque.
The motor is paired with an 18.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a claimed driving range of up to 210 km on a single charge.
The compact battery setup is aimed at daily city commutes while keeping ownership costs affordable.
Rugged SUV-Inspired Styling
The VF 3 draws inspiration from classic off-road vehicles with its upright stance, flat roofline, short overhangs, and squared wheel arches.
The front fascia features rectangular LED headlamps connected by a gloss-black panel carrying VinFast’s signature V-shaped chrome accent.
Black body cladding around the bumpers and wheel arches further enhances its SUV-like appearance.
Minimalist Interior
Inside, the VF 3 adopts a simple and functional layout with seating for four occupants.
A centrally mounted 10-inch touchscreen serves as the primary control interface for vehicle functions and infotainment.
Other features include manual air conditioning, keyless entry, USB charging, a two-speaker audio system, and foldable rear seats to increase luggage space.
Expanding VinFast’s India Plans
The launch of the VF 3 will strengthen VinFast’s portfolio in India, where the company is also introducing the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs.
With its compact dimensions, practical range, and expected competitive pricing, the VF 3 could emerge as an attractive option for urban buyers looking to switch to electric mobility.
