Mumbai: JioFinance has relaunched its Income Tax Return (ITR) filing service for the current tax filing season, offering taxpayers a low-cost filing option starting at ₹24 along with JioPoints rewards.
Under the new offering, customers can receive up to 25% of their filing fee back as JioPoints, which can be redeemed for brand vouchers, shopping offers and partner deals through the JioFinance app.
The service is being offered in partnership with TaxBuddy, a registered e-Return Intermediary (ERI) recognized by the Income Tax Department.
Apart from filing income tax returns, users can also access tax planning tools, compare tax regimes, explore tax-saving options and track refund status directly through the platform.
JioFinance said users can choose between DIY (Do-It-Yourself) filing and expert-assisted services based on their requirements. DIY plans start at ₹24, while plans with assistance from tax professionals begin at ₹649.
The company emphasized that users’ personal and financial information will remain secure and will be processed only for ITR filing through TaxBuddy’s encrypted systems. It added that the data will not be used for any other purpose.
Jio Finance Platform and Services Ltd. CEO Surabhi S. Sharma said the initiative aims to simplify tax filing while making it more affordable and rewarding for users. TaxBuddy Co-founder and CTO Srinivas Reddy said the partnership would help taxpayers file their returns through a secure and user-friendly platform.
