Pune: Belding India Limited has launched its indigenously developed Hybrid Battery Energy Storage System (Hybrid BESS) at India Energy Storage Week 2026, strengthening its portfolio of sustainable energy solutions.
The Hybrid BESS is designed to improve the efficiency and reliability of diesel generator-based power systems by reducing diesel consumption by 40–80%, depending on the load profile. The solution lowers fuel costs, reduces generator runtime, minimizes maintenance requirements and extends the operational life of diesel generators.
The system also provides instant backup power during generator startup, enables peak load shaving, improves voltage and frequency stability, and supports the integration of renewable energy sources such as solar power. It also helps reduce carbon emissions and noise pollution while lowering the overall cost of ownership.
Belding India said the Hybrid BESS is suitable for deployment across multiple industries, including data centres, manufacturing plants, hospitals, airports, telecom towers, mining operations, oil and gas facilities, defence installations and remote industrial sites.
The product was formally unveiled by Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Yesso Naik, during India Energy Storage Week 2026.
Company officials said the launch reflects Belding India’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and the Make in India initiative by developing advanced energy storage solutions for domestic and global markets.
