Bharat Tex 2026 concluded with strong business outcomes, generating business enquiries worth approximately USD 2.8 billion during the first three days of the event. The Ministry of Textiles said the four-day global textile exhibition also attracted investment commitments worth Rs 14,300 crore, reinforcing India’s position as a major global textile manufacturing hub.
The event witnessed participation from 1,647 exhibitors and nearly 95,000 business visitors. It also hosted 11,315 buyers, including 6,090 international buyers, along with 3,461 delegates and representatives from 138 countries. The strong international participation highlighted India’s growing importance in the global textile and apparel value chain.
According to the ministry, more than 30 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed by various state governments to promote textile investments. Andhra Pradesh secured investment commitments worth Rs 4,100 crore, Karnataka attracted Rs 2,821 crore, Bihar received Rs 1,476 crore, while Maharashtra signed proposals valued at Rs 1,095 crore.
The investment commitments are expected to boost manufacturing capacity and generate significant employment across multiple states. Karnataka’s proposals are projected to create over 11,000 jobs, while Bihar expects more than 40,500 employment opportunities through the planned textile projects. The ministry said these investments demonstrate the success of state-led industrial development initiatives.
Adding to the momentum, textile recycling company RE&UP announced plans to invest Rs 4,800 crore in India, further strengthening the country’s sustainable textile ecosystem. The Ministry of Textiles said Bharat Tex 2026 has emerged as a key platform for attracting global buyers, promoting investments and accelerating the growth of India’s textile sector.
