Balkrishna Industries has established a 10,000-square-foot distribution facility in Sankagiri, Salem, to strengthen its commercial vehicle radial tyre presence in Tamil Nadu.
The facility, operated by the company’s authorised distributor, will improve availability of its commercial vehicle radial tyre portfolio across eight key markets in Tamil Nadu.
Sankagiri is a major trucking and logistics hub connecting Salem, Coimbatore and Kerala and supports freight movement across the region.
The facility will serve fleet operators, dealers and channel partners as the company expands its commercial vehicle tyre business in high-potential transport markets.
BKT said Tamil Nadu is one of its priority growth markets for the commercial vehicle tyre segment because of its transport ecosystem, infrastructure and established fleet-operator base.
The company said strengthening its presence in major freight and logistics hubs is part of its effort to expand its on-highway business in India and improve product access.
