“Sometimes all you need is a good cup of tea,” goes the popular adage. But connoisseurs, in particular, often lament the fact that there are very few companies making good quality tea, especially those with a legacy of expertise in the trade. One such company is Chaizup Beverages LLP, which has been producing fine quality teas at its facilities in the Nilgiris, Assam and West Bengal for the last five decades. From offering customized tea bags and premix tea to bulk tea packing and private labelling, the brand undertakes a host of operations associated with the tea industry.

This rich experience has helped Chaizup to not only capture a dominant position in the domestic market, but also to establish its presence in over 40 countries across the world. These are sold under the labels ‘Nargis’ – premium garden sourced teas – and ‘Chaizup’ – a range of ready to drink premixes. The range includes myriad categories of tea such as Indian black tea, green tea, Darjeeling tea, Ayurvedic tea, and herbal & floral tea. The brand promises that every cup they drink will have the identical taste, flavour and delight: the same exciting flavour of the tea, with the extra kick of whichever variant they choose – whether it be ginger or masala or cardamom.

Chaizup is among the top 10 Indian tea manufacturers & exporters in the country. It has been granted the Govt. of India recognised ‘Star Export House Status’ with annual group sales of over US$ 50 million. It also received the prestigious National Export Award from former Indian Prime Minister, Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee, in 1997-1998. Later, it was recognized as being among the “Leading Producers, Manufacturers and Exporters of Indian Tea”, presented by CNBC TV 18 & SBI at the Export-Import Forum, 2015. It is also the first company in the tea industry to be given carbon credits by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate change.

The brand ensures that proper care is taken to live up to international quality standards. This begins right from hand picking the right tea leaves to carefully processing them in its factories to making sure that its certified tea tasters scrutinize them. Chaizup also has acquired key certifications, including ISO 22000 2018, Trustea, Halal India, GMP, FDA, UNFCCC, Kosher, Rain Forest, & Organic. Further, the entire process is inspected by CISCO, SGS and other globally recognized inspection agencies from time to time for quality, chemical & MRL analysis.

Besides traditional black tea and ready-to-drink products, Chaizup also provides a range of herbal and floral concept teas, which are flavourful and in the whole leaf category. Some variants include lemongrass green tea, tulsi lemon blast green tea, tulsi mint black tea and Moroccan mint tea. The company has also launched its first International Tea House located in Taiwan in partnership with YCY International Limited. Chaizup is now planning to launch more varieties of tea in the coming years and expand its global presence.
