Executive Program Builds Strategic Leadership Skills
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has launched an Executive Program for Chief of Staff professionals through its Continuing Education Programme (CEP). The seven-month online program is designed for professionals seeking to develop strategic leadership capabilities while supporting senior leadership teams and driving organisational initiatives.
The program aims to help professionals strengthen their business understanding, leadership capabilities, communication skills and execution expertise. With the Chief of Staff role becoming increasingly important across organisations, the program focuses on areas including leadership support, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, organisational coordination, business transformation, project execution and decision-making frameworks.
Participants will also gain exposure to technology-enabled approaches and practical methods for managing strategic initiatives across different business functions.
The program will feature expert-led sessions, case-based discussions, practical frameworks, assignments and applied learning activities. A key focus will be on helping participants understand real-world challenges involved in working with leadership teams and managing strategic organisational initiatives.
Practical assignments and a capstone project will allow participants to apply the concepts covered during the program to real business situations. An optional campus immersion at IIT Delhi will also provide participants with opportunities to interact with faculty, fellow participants and the institute’s academic environment.
The program is being coordinated by Prof. Sanjay Dhir, Professor of Strategic Management, and Prof. Sonali Jain, Associate Professor of Finance, at IIT Delhi’s Department of Management Studies.
Commenting on the launch, the program coordinators said organisations increasingly need professionals who can bridge the gap between strategy and execution, strengthen collaboration across teams and support better decision-making. They highlighted the need for a combination of strategic perspective, leadership capability and operational effectiveness for the Chief of Staff role.
The program will be conducted through live online sessions, enabling working professionals to upskill without taking a career break. It is open to graduate professionals looking to strengthen their leadership capabilities and develop expertise for strategic roles within organisations.
