Apple has entered the foldable smartphone market with the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone. The device starts at ₹2,99,900 in India and will go on sale from October 23.

Apple has officially entered the foldable smartphone segment with the launch of the iPhone Duo, marking one of the biggest changes to the iPhone lineup in years. The company’s first foldable iPhone combines a compact smartphone form factor with a larger display that opens up for multitasking, gaming and content consumption.
In India, the iPhone Duo starts at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB storage variant. The 512GB model is priced at ₹3,24,900, while the 1TB variant costs ₹3,74,900. Buyers looking for the top-end 2TB storage option will have to pay ₹4,49,900.
Apple is offering the foldable iPhone in two colour options — Star White and Night Sky.
iPhone Duo Camera and Features
The iPhone Duo features a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera along with a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide camera. Its foldable form factor also enables camera features such as Smart Take and Duo Preview.
Users can take selfies using the rear cameras while using the outer display as a preview screen. Apple says the iPhone Duo is its thinnest iPhone when fully opened.
The foldable design allows users to switch between a conventional compact smartphone experience and a larger, tablet-like screen depending on the task.
iPhone Duo Pre-Order and Sale Date
Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo in India will begin at 5:30 pm IST on October 16, while the device will become available for purchase from October 23.
Apple has also introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. In India, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro series begin on September 12, with sales scheduled to start on September 18.
With the iPhone Duo, Apple is entering a foldable smartphone category already contested by several Android manufacturers, while positioning its first foldable device firmly in the ultra-premium segment.
