New Delhi, July 1: LG Electronics India has expanded its premium audio portfolio with the launch of the new “xboom by will.i.am” speaker range, introducing two AI-powered portable Bluetooth speakers—xboom Bounce and xboom Grab. Developed in collaboration with Grammy-winning artist and technology entrepreneur will.i.am, the new lineup aims to combine premium sound quality with intelligent listening experiences.
The launch marks one of LG’s biggest artist collaborations in consumer electronics, with will.i.am serving as the brand’s “Experiential Architect.” He has been involved in tuning the audio profile, product design and overall user experience of the xboom range.
Designed for consumers who switch between different music genres throughout the day, the speakers feature AI Sound, which automatically analyzes the type of audio being played and adjusts the sound profile in real time. Whether users are listening to Bollywood tracks, hip-hop, classical music or EDM, the speakers optimize vocals, bass and instruments without requiring manual equalizer settings.
Another standout feature is AI Calibration, which detects the surrounding environment and automatically adjusts the audio output for the best listening experience. Whether used inside a small apartment, during outdoor gatherings or while travelling, the speaker fine-tunes its performance based on the available space.
The speakers also introduce AI Lighting, synchronizing multi-colour LED lights with the rhythm of the music to create a more immersive entertainment experience.
LG has equipped both models with premium audio components developed by Peerless, a Danish manufacturer known for high-quality speaker drivers. The devices also support LE Audio Auracast, allowing multiple compatible xboom speakers to play synchronized music simultaneously, making them suitable for parties and family gatherings.
The flagship xboom Bounce features dual dome tweeters, a track-type woofer and distinctive illuminated passive radiators that visibly move with the music. It offers IP67 water and dust resistance, Military Standard durability certification and up to 30 hours of battery life.
Meanwhile, the compact xboom Grab is designed for users on the move. Equipped with dual passive radiators, flexible mounting straps and multiple placement options, it delivers powerful bass while remaining easy to carry. It also carries an IP67 rating and offers up to 20 hours of battery backup.
With AI-powered personalization, rugged durability and premium sound engineering, LG is positioning the xboom lineup as a lifestyle audio solution for India’s growing community of music enthusiasts.
