Toyota has officially entered India’s fast-growing electric SUV market with the launch of the Toyota Urban Cruiser EBella E3, priced at ₹23.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The newly launched top-spec variant is equipped with a 61kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed driving range of up to 543km on a single charge, making it one of the longest-range EVs in its segment.

Built around Toyota’s “Urban Tech” design philosophy, the Urban Cruiser EBella combines SUV styling with futuristic EV elements. The electric SUV features a closed-off front grille, sleek LED DRLs, connected LED tail lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone color options, and aerodynamic body lines. While it shares its platform with the upcoming Maruti e Vitara, Toyota has given the vehicle a distinct identity with unique styling elements and premium design upgrades.

Inside, the EBella offers a feature-loaded cabin aimed at tech-savvy buyers. The SUV gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, panoramic glass roof, JBL premium audio system, ambient lighting, and a 10-way powered driver’s seat. Rear passengers also benefit from sliding and reclining seats, enhancing overall comfort for long-distance travel.

On the safety front, Toyota has equipped the EBella with 7 airbags as standard, Level-2 ADAS, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, blind-spot monitoring, TPMS, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a 360-degree camera. The electric SUV is powered by a front-mounted motor producing 174bhp and 189Nm of torque. Fast-charging capabilities allow the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 45 minutes, while Toyota is also offering an 8-year battery warranty, Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) options, and an assured 60% buyback value after three years to improve ownership confidence.
