Story:
The Parishrama Adalat in Hyderabad has resolved 65 delayed-payment cases involving ₹8.29 crore, providing relief to Micro and Small Enterprises struggling with unpaid dues and cash-flow pressures.
The Conciliation Conclave was organised by the Commissionerate of Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana, in association with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. It brought together MSEs, buyers, public sector enterprises, MSE Facilitation Councils, Alternative Dispute Resolution institutions and government officials.
Delayed payments can create serious challenges for small businesses as they affect salaries, raw-material purchases, loan repayments and their ability to accept new orders. The initiative aims to provide faster resolution while also protecting business relationships.
Several entrepreneurs shared their experiences at the conclave. Neemus Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. resolved nine of its 11 delayed-payment cases through the mechanism after prolonged disputes had affected the company’s savings and confidence.
Nagarjuna Agro Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. was able to recover an outstanding amount from a buyer through the Council’s intervention while preserving the commercial relationship.
Sree Solutions reported recovery of close to ₹30 lakh after waiting for dues for more than two years. Four of its cases were closed within approximately two to three months.
Hyderabad Ammonia & Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., meanwhile, faced delayed payments of nearly ₹79 lakh from nine buyers. Three conciliation meetings through the Online Dispute Resolution platform helped initiate settlements. One major buyer paid ₹20 lakh, while other buyers also started clearing dues. The company reported total recovery of ₹54 lakh.
Shabari Industries also realised approximately ₹40 lakh in two payments after delayed dues started affecting its credit profile.
The MSME ODR platform, launched in 2025, provides a digital route for taking delayed-payment disputes forward while MSE Facilitation Councils continue to play a central institutional role.
According to figures shared during the programme, more than 800 cases have been filed in Telangana through the ODR ecosystem, of which around 85 have been resolved.
The government said the combination of digital tools, conciliation and institutional mechanisms can help reduce delays in dispute resolution, improve cash flow and enable small businesses to continue operations and pursue growth opportunities.
