Fuel costs increase from September

New Delhi, September 1, 2026: Aviation turbine fuel prices have increased by 5.46 per cent, while commercial LPG prices have also been raised in line with changes in international benchmarks.
The price of jet fuel, or ATF, increased by ₹6.28 per litre to ₹121.28 per litre for domestic airlines.
The increase follows another rise in ATF prices in August.
Higher jet fuel prices are expected to add to the operating cost pressure on airlines, as ATF can account for a significant share of their total operating expenses.
Commercial LPG prices have increased by ₹9.50 per 19-kg cylinder.
The revised price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder is ₹2,747.50, compared with ₹2,738 earlier.
The price of the 5-kg market-priced LPG cylinder also increased from ₹762 to ₹764.
The latest increase follows two consecutive monthly reductions in commercial LPG prices during July and August.
Domestic LPG prices used for household cooking remain unchanged at ₹942 per 14.2-kg cylinder.
Petrol and diesel prices also remain unchanged.
ATF and LPG prices are revised at the beginning of every month based on international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates, while local taxes can result in variations across states.
