New Delhi: IndiGo has announced the launch of direct flights between Guwahati and Deoghar, further expanding its domestic network. The new service will commence on August 4, 2026, and will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The new route is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Northeast India and Jharkhand, making travel more convenient for pilgrims, tourists and business travellers.
Deoghar is home to the Baba Baidyanath Dham Jyotirlinga, one of India’s most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites, attracting millions of devotees every year. IndiGo currently offers direct flights to Deoghar from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, making it the only airline serving the destination.
Guwahati serves as a major commercial, educational and tourism hub in Northeast India and acts as the gateway to the region. The airline said the new route will promote tourism while supporting greater economic and cultural exchanges between Northeast India and eastern India.
According to the announced schedule, flight 6E 7709 will depart Guwahati at 9:25 AM and arrive in Deoghar at 11:20 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays. The return flight, 6E 7710, will depart Deoghar at 11:40 AM and reach Guwahati at 1:35 PM on the same days.
