Whirlpool of India has launched its new premium Luxurium 4-Door Refrigerator range in India. Designed for modern Indian households, the new refrigerator combines a large 654-litre capacity with advanced cooling technology, flexible storage and a premium design. Prices for the range start at Rs 98,000.
One of the key highlights of the Luxurium range is Whirlpool’s 360° Triple Cooling Technology. The system uses three independent evaporators, three dedicated cooling systems and separate airflow for the refrigerator, convertible and freezer compartments.
According to Whirlpool, the technology creates three independent cooling environments that help maintain appropriate temperature and humidity levels in each compartment while preventing odours from mixing between fresh, frozen and convertible storage areas. The company says this helps preserve the taste, texture and quality of food while keeping fruits and vegetables fresh for longer.
Freezer to Fridge in Under 30 Minutes
Another major feature is the fast convertible compartment. Whirlpool claims it can switch from freezer to refrigerator mode in less than 30 minutes, while a dedicated freezer space remains available.
This can be useful when users need additional refrigerator space for party platters and beverages, fresh groceries or other items. The refrigerator also offers more than 100 customisable storage modes, allowing households to change the storage configuration according to their requirements.
The 4-door format has been designed keeping Indian cooking and storage habits in mind. Its wide refrigerator section can accommodate large cookware and serving dishes, while wide-access shelves are aimed at providing more usable storage space.
Whirlpool has also included Zero-Bending Crisper Drawers, positioned to make fruits and vegetables easier to access without requiring users to repeatedly bend down. The four-door architecture also means users can open only the required compartment, which can help reduce cooling loss.
Premium Design and Smart Features
On the design front, the Luxurium range introduces a glass-and-metal Duo Noir dual finish. It also gets Obsidian interiors complemented by Quad Theater Lighting.
Depending on the model, the refrigerator will be available in finishes including Duo Noir, Nero Quartz, Dark Quantum, Rhodium Steel and Cosmos Black.
Other features include interchangeable shelves and trays, soft-close drawers, large door bins, dedicated freezer storage compartments, freezer lighting, Metal Cooling and a beverage rack. Whirlpool has also equipped the range with iCare Expert, which enables remote diagnosis for service-related issues.
The Whirlpool Luxurium 4-Door refrigerator comes with a 654-litre capacity and 3-star BEE energy rating. Prices start at Rs 98,000, and the range will be available across major retail stores and online platforms in India.
