Amazon Business has recorded 65% year-on-year growth in national sales so far this year, supported by demand from MSMEs and corporate buyers, according to a senior company official. Pasted text
Amazon Business, the B2B platform of e-commerce major Amazon, has reported strong sales growth in India, driven by purchasing activity from MSMEs and corporate customers.
Amazon Business Director Mitranjan Bhaduri said the platform recorded 65% year-on-year sales growth nationally in the year-to-date period. Its five-year sales growth rate is around 40%.
In West Bengal, sales increased 35%, while bulk orders surged 80%. The company is working to increase awareness among business customers in the state to support further expansion.
Services and manufacturing are among the leading sectors driving purchases in West Bengal. The state has more than 70,000 sellers and 20,000 local shops on the platform, supported by two fulfilment centres, three sort units, more than 100 delivery stations and around 1,050 hub partners.
Amazon is also deploying AI tools to assist regional sellers with cataloguing, inventory optimisation and product visibility.
Nationally, 65% of Amazon Business customers now come from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, while 70% of orders are placed through mobile devices.
The platform lists more than 19 crore products from over 20 lakh sellers, with three lakh sellers added during the past year. Its Buy Now Pay Later facility serves more than eight lakh business customers.
Amazon is investing ₹2,800 crore in 2026, compared with ₹2,000 crore in 2025, in infrastructure to strengthen delivery capabilities.
According to the company official, its network has enabled it to reach one million deliveries in a day and four million within two days. The delivery network covers all serviceable pin codes, with more than 97% receiving deliveries within two days. Pasted text
