Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has opened a new Robotics Business Support Division in Gurugram, Haryana, to strengthen its robotics sales and service operations in India. The facility has been set up within Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd., which already manages motorcycle and other Yamaha product sales in the country.

The move comes at a time when India’s manufacturing industry is growing rapidly and adopting advanced technologies. With increasing automation in factories, the demand for industrial robots and smart manufacturing solutions is also rising across sectors such as electronics, automobile production and semiconductor manufacturing.

Focus on Sales, Service and Customer Support

According to Yamaha Motor, the new division will help improve customer support, strengthen after-sales service and speed up business operations related to robotics products in India. The company believes there is significant growth potential for its robotics business in the Indian market.

Initially, the facility will provide support for SMT Assembly Systems and industrial robots. These robotic systems are widely used in electronics manufacturing for placing components on printed circuit boards with high precision and speed.

In the future, Yamaha plans to expand operations to include semiconductor back-end processing equipment, which is becoming increasingly important as India pushes for domestic semiconductor manufacturing.

Showroom to Display Latest Robotics Technology

One of the key highlights of the new Gurugram facility is a dedicated showroom where customers can experience Yamaha’s latest robotics technologies firsthand. The showroom is designed to help manufacturing companies better understand how robotic automation can improve production efficiency and solve operational challenges.

Company officials said the interactive space will allow clients to visualize how Yamaha’s robotics solutions can be used in real factory environments. This is expected to support businesses looking to modernize production lines and improve productivity.

India Emerging as a Robotics Growth Market

Industry experts say India is becoming an important market for industrial automation due to rising labor costs, increasing demand for quality manufacturing and government support for local production initiatives.

Cities like Gurugram are rapidly developing into major industrial and technology hubs, attracting investments from global companies in sectors including automation, electronics and robotics.

Yamaha’s latest expansion reflects growing confidence among international companies in India’s manufacturing future and the increasing demand for advanced industrial technologies.
